November blessings dear ones,

We find ourselves in the penultimate month of 2025. The clocks have gone back, it’s dark and it’s cosy and as we say in mystical circles “the veil is thin”. At this time of the year we may palpably sense the connection to our ancestors and our intuition may be heightened. It’s the perfect time for both resting and manifesting.

Until November 23rd the Sun resides in Scorpio. Scorpio is deep, transformative, probing and intense. It asks us to embrace and integrate our shadows and to evolve by having the courage to face and accept the hidden and less palatable parts of ourselves.

New Moon in Scorpio

This month’s New Moon in Scorpio occurs on Thursday 20th Nov at 06:46 (GMT). The New Moon makes a link with Lilith (a mathematical point – the moon’s furthest point from the Earth) and with Mercury ( the planet of communication – which will be retrograde).

New Moons are when we can’t see the Moon in the sky so they are about embracing the darkness.

This New Moon in Scorpio is even more potent because the Moon is at the furthest point from the Earth making it a “micromoon”, this means that it might feel even darker.

The New Moon in Scorpio asks us if we are ready to have difficult conversations about the past, in order to heal and move forwards. It also brings powerful opportunities for intention setting and manifesting.

Yoga for New Moon in Scorpio

On the mat, it’s about poses that invite introspection and transformation. Scorpio connects us to the lower chakras – the Root Chakra and the Sacral Chakra.

Long hold seated postures and reclined poses are ideal for this time of year – Sleeping Swan, Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclined Butterfly), Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Fold). Practice in low lighting and take long Shavasanas.

Ritual

Light a red candle to cultivate stability through transformation and to work with Scorpio’s traditional planetary ruler – Mars (the planet of drive and ambition). With this red candle burning take some time to write down everything you want to manifest.

Full Moon in Taurus

The Full Moon always occurs in the opposite sign to the sign the Sun is in. The opposite sign to Scorpio is Taurus.

Where Scorpio asks to look at the uncomfortable parts of ourselves and evolve, Taurus invites us to sit in comfort and to connect to all five senses. It’s about staying grounded and present. The Full Moon is exact on Weds 5th Nov at 13:19 (GMT) and will rise at 15:55. This Full Moon in Taurus is a supermoon – supermoon is when the Moon is closest to Earth in its orbit.

This Full Moon asks us to cast our minds back to the New Moon in Taurus which took place on 27th April 2025. Have a look back at your emails and camera roll. What was beginning for you at that time? This Full Moon asks you to assess this six month period. What is still working for you and what do you need to let go of?

Yoga For Full Moon in Taurus

Taurus is an earth sign, connected to the Root chakra – it’s safety, it’s stability. It’s ruled by Venus – the planet of beauty and of love, it relates to The Empress in the Tarot so it’s also energetically linked to the Heart Chakra – to kindness and self compassion. Make time for Restorative Practices and slow mindful flows – try grounded heart openers such as Setu Bandhasana (bridge) and Salamba Bhujangasana (sphinx) . Ganesh is the guardian of the Root Chakra so chant the mantra “om gam ganapataye namaha” to let go of obstacles.

Ritual

As always, write down everything you want to let go of on a piece of paper then safely burn the piece of paper or tear it up and flush it down the toilet. Afterwards take a salt bath and cleanse your skin with a salt scrub. Imagine anything you want to let go of going down the drain. If you don’t have a bath, a shower also works. Taurus loves sensory pleasures – so if you can, light candles and burn essential oils.

Other Notable Dates

4th Nov – Mars enters Sagittarius

Mars is the planet of drive and ambition and when it enters the sign of Sagittarius, we are collectively driven to learn and explore. As Sag is a Fire sign, it’s a great time for dynamic practices such as Vinyasa and Rocket.

6th Nov – Venus enters Scorpio

Venus is the planet of beauty and love and when Venus enters Scorpio – love becomes intense, devotional and transformative.

9th Nov – Uranus Re-Enters Taurus

9th Nov – Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius

Mercury Retrograde famously plays havoc with communication. Check and double check your plans and choose your words carefully.

22nd Nov – Sun enters Sagittarius

Happy birthday to the Sagittarians. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter –  the planet of luck and expansion. After Scorpio’s intense and probing energy, it’s time to enter the party season and have some fun.

28th Nov – Saturn direct

Saturn has been retrograde since 13th July, inviting us to review old lessons connected to boundaries and spiritual discipline. As it resumes its forward motion we may find ourselves going over old ground one more time to really consolidate everything we’ve learned during Saturn in Pisces (7th March 2023 to 24th May 2025 and 1st Sept 2025 to 13th Feb 2026).

29th Nov – Mercury direct in Scorpio

The end of Mercury retrograde. Mercury, the planet of communication, is back in Scorpio and we may find ourselves revisiting conversations we had around the end of October in order to bring in closure and healing.

30th Nov – Venus enters Sagittarius

When Venus enters Sag love takes on an optimistic and exploratory tone.

This month I’ve pulled a tarot card for each sign. If you want to delve deeper into the meaning, have a little Google or if you have your own deck, pull your card out and meditate on it.

Wishing you a beautiful and aligned November,

Amanda x

Let the moons guide your practice. Pause, breathe, and manifest your intentions with yoga classes for just £1 today.

Scorpio

Scorpio, you are used to intensity and you’re not one to shy away from serious topics but with Lilith in your sign, this Scorpio season hits a little different. There is an opportunity for deep healing, especially if you harness the New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov) from a place of courage and self-awareness. On the 19th Nov Mercury (planet of communication) reenters Scorpio giving you another chance to address the past. Notice what’s coming up and set an intention to move forwards from a place of love. Prepare for the powerful New Moon in your sign by harnessing the Full Moon in Taurus (5th Nov) to help you let go of any blocks that are preventing your progress.

Spiritual Practices To Support You

As this Scorpio season is introspective and deep, opt for poses that support that introspection. Yoga Nidra will help you to prepare for the New Moon in Scorpio. Baddha Virabhadrasana (humble warrior) and forward folds serve as an embodied metaphor for surrendering to your higher self and these poses may help to clear blocks as you step into your own personal new year.

Tarot Card: The Eight of Rods – This corresponds to Mercury (planet of communication) and with Mercury retrograding back into your sign, it’s time to connect to your truth. What do you need to say and who do you need to say to? What have you learned from the past? November will give ample time for reflection but it might be with waiting until the 29th, when Mercury is direct again, to air your views.

Sagittarius

On the 9th Nov we have a Mercury retrograde in your sign. This is time to think before you speak. There is the potential to say the wrong thing so don’t rush to say something just to fill in the space.

On 12th Nov Mars and Mercury Retro meet in your sign creating the conditions for a potential disagreement so endeavour to stay anchored and grounded and count to ten before saying something rash that could have lasting consequences.

The Full Moon in Taurus (5th Nov) is a time to reassess your daily routines and habits. The New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov)  asks you to set intentions that benefit your spiritual wellbeing and spark your imagination.

The Sun will enter your sign on 22nd Nov marking the start of your birthday season and amplifying a sense of joy and optimism.

Spiritual Practices To Support You

Work with the Throat Chakra to help navigate Mercury retrograde in your sign – try gentle neck stretches and practice Brahmari Breath (bee breath).

Around the New Moon, meditate to connect to your Third Eye Chakra – visualise a purple spinning wheel of light between the eyebrows, this will help you to set intentions from an intuitive and aligned place.

When the Sun enters your sign (22nd Nov) find a yoga practice that makes you feel energetic and joyful, in order to start Sag Season right.

Tarot Card: Strength – This Major Arcana card acknowledges the challenges of navigating Mercury Retrograde in your sign. The advice of the card is that true strength is not about brute force but about staying calm and centred. Keep focused on your goals and trust that the effort you are putting into creating the life of your dreams will eventually bear fruit.

Capricorn

With a Full Moon in fellow Earth sign – Taurus (5th Nov) you are being invited to take stock of your creative goals. It could be a day to contemplate what blocks are standing in the way of a more creatively fulfilling life. The New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov) asks you to set intentions around calling in community to support the building of your dreams.

Mercury is retrograde for most of the month so we are all being invited to be more mindful. When your ruler Saturn moves into direct motion (28th Nov), you may find that you have new insights into the lessons that have been coming your way since March 2023.

Spiritual Practices To Support You

Around the time of the Full Moon creative flows will help to tap into an embodied sense of creativity. Work with the element of Water and the element of Fire. Try hip openers such as (Malasana) and Goddess and twists such as Supta Matsyendrasana (supine twist).

On the New Moon, practice in a group class. Find heart opening poses that serve as an embodied metaphor for cultivating a sense of connection.

Tarot Card: The King of Rods – The theme of November is reclaim your creative power. The King of Rods rules the realm of Fire. This is a moment to call in your power, courage and self-belief and to realign with your creative path.

Aquarius

The Full Moon in Taurus (5th Nov) may invite you to make changes around your home. This Full Moon is ruled by Venus – planet of beauty and love so it could be a time to contemplate how to beautify your home and this ritual of beautifying the home might take the shape of a literal clear out.

New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov) invites you to set intentions around work and success. It asks you to reassess your goals.

As your modern ruler Uranus moves back into Taurus (9th Nov) you might find a little relief from the constant changes you have been navigating since 7th July 2025.

Spiritual Practices To Support You

If you can cultivate stability through change this will be a skill that will support you, not just with the current astrology but for the next twenty years that Pluto transits your sign.

Keep coming back to grounding practices, over and over again. Walk barefoot in the grass, hug trees, wear the colour red and chant the mantra “LAM”. These practices will also help you this month with uplifting the vibes in your home environment.

As the New Moon puts your career in the spotlight, work with Manipura (Solar Plexus chakra) to alleviate any doubt or fear and move confidently forwards. You can work with Manipura by wearing the colour yellow, chanting the mantra RAM and by practicing dynamic practices such as Rocket and Vinyasa and by incorporating lots of twists.

Tarot Card: Ace of Pentacles – Pentacles relate to the element to Earth so this card invites you to plant seeds in order to usher in more stability. Take practical steps to cultivating more security in your life. It might be a good time to make a sound investment.

Pisces

This month you may find you are back in old territory, revisiting themes that you thought you were done with, as Saturn (structure and boundaries) and Neptune (planet of imagination) reconvene in the final degrees of your sign. Notice what challenges are coming up, accept the lessons and know that they are preparing you for an exciting new era.

The New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov) is an important moment that will support your goals and aspirations as there is a harmonious flow of energy between the planets in Water Signs. In order to prepare for blessings that are being promised to you, make sure you do a letting go ritual on the Full Moon in Taurus (5th Nov).

Spiritual Practices to Support You

Working with Ajna (the third eye chakra) is an ongoing theme for you, dear Pisces. Focus on honing your intuition and developing clarity. Try Trataka meditation (meditating on the flame of a candle) to develop your psychic sense.

As Saturn is the planet of structure and discipline it can be helpful to practice Ashtanga as Ashtanga yoga adheres to a rigorous structure that can help with embodying and understanding Saturnian themes.

Tarot Card: Seven of Pentacles – When this card shows up we may feel we’ve been busy planting seeds for the future but we may feel frustrated that we have not yet seen the results. Trust that your hard work will eventually pay off.

Aries

Aries is ruled by Mars (planet of drive and ambition), Scorpio is also ruled by Mars (in traditional astrology), as Mars is currently in a sign that it does well in, you are imbued with extra vitality which should help to get things done. This is a really important moment for preparation.

Harness the Full Moon in Taurus (5th Nov) to set some financial goals and to assess your finances. It’s a great Moon for budgeting, tax returns and honest appraisals that will help to usher in great wealth and stability.

The New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov) invites introspection and rest.

At the start of the month, Chiron (the wounded healer) makes an opposition to Venus (beauty and love) in Libra, you may also be asked to look closely at your one to one relationships and tend to any old wounds that may be activated with awareness and tenderness.

Spiritual Practices to Support You

This month you must strike a balance between deep rest and empowered action. Mars wants you to get things done and make big changes but this is about mindful and deliberate use of your energy.

Make time to rest deeply on the New Moon in Scorpio and opt for practices such as Restorative Yoga, Sound Meditation and Yin.

Work with Muladhara (Root chakra) to help alleviate any fears surrounding tackling financial matters.

Tarot Card: Knight of Pentacles – The Knight of Pentacles is about the daily actions we take to achieve our goals and to create more stability in our lives. This card invites you to approach financial matters from a sensible and grounded perspective.

Taurus

The Full Moon in your sign indicates that you are halfway through your own personal year. So it is a really good point to evaluate what has happened since the New Moon in Taurus (27th April 2025).

The Full Moon in your sign (5th Nov) wants you to remember who you are and step back into your personal power.

The New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov) invites an evaluation of your one-to-one relationships and helps you to call in supportive partnerships.

Your ruler Venus opposes Chiron (2nd Nov) and this can be a good moment to reflect on relationships in order to prepare for the New Moon.

On 9th Nov Uranus reenters your sign for one finally shake up. It will stay in Taurus until 25th April 2026 (after that it won’t return to Taurus for approx 84 years). As Uranus is sometimes referred to as The Great Awakener it’s important to pay attention to the sudden shifts and revelations that you might experience over the next six months.

Spiritual Practices to Support You

With Uranus back in your sign you may experience sudden “downloads” or intuitive flashes. Keep a notebook to record all your insights. Meditation will help to bring insights through more clearly. Sasangasana (rabbit pose) is a great way to connect to the Third Eye.

On Full Moon in Taurus focus on amplifying your self-confidence by working with Manipura (the Solar Plexus) through Twists and Kapalbathi (skull shining breath).

Around the time of the New Moon, work with balancing poses and alternate nostril breathing.

Tarot Card: The Sun – This beautiful card wants you to reconnect with your innocence and joy. It invites you to embrace optimism and playfulness. It can also indicate a renewal of hope after a challenging time.

Gemini

Your ruler Mercury (planet of communication) is retrograde for most of November and it makes important links all month.

On 12th Nov it links with Mars in Sag, on New Moon (20th Nov) it links with the Sun in Scorpio, on 21st Nov it links with Lilith in Scorpio and just before it moves into direct motion on 25th Nov it makes a link with Venus in Scorpio.

What does this mean for you?

It means that you are being invited to have frank and illuminating conversations. It also may mean that you need to pause before speaking and take time to reflect.

The Full Moon in Taurus (5th Nov) is a time for resting deeply and connecting to intuition.

The New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov) requires you to take inventory of your daily habits and routines and you may experience unexpected delays and frustrations with regards to your schedule. The key is to plan ahead and make allowances for disruptions.

Spiritual Practices to Support You

Gemini is always the realm of the Throat Chakra but this November it is even more important to keep that energy point balanced. Work with neck stretches, chants, Salamba Sarvangasana (shoulder stand), Matsyasana (fish pose) and Lion’s Breath.

Mercury Retrograde can be a time when you benefit immensely from introspection so it can be helpful to do practices such as Slow Flow and Yin. The Full Moon is a deeply intuitive time for you. So find some time to meditate and journal.

Tarot Card: Two of Wands – This card suggests that you may soon be embarking on a new adventure. You are ready to take a leap forward but before you do, you must plan, prepare and assess the situation.

Cancer

As Jupiter (planet of luck and expansion) moves into retrograde motion in your sign, it’s worth reflecting on where you have been experiencing growth in your life since 17th Aug 2025. Jupiter is a key player in this month’s astrology as it’s involved in a trine (a harmonious flow of energy) between the Sun and Moon in Scorpio and Saturn and Neptune in Pisces around the time of New Moon (20th Nov).

What this means for you, dear one, is that it will be extremely important to harness the energy of the New Moon for manifestation and intention setting.

This intention setting should come from a place of stillness and introspection. A key question is, Where would I like to experience more abundance in my life? You have the power of Jupiter supporting you.

The New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov) opens a portal to greater creativity and The Full Moon in Taurus (5th Nov) may ask you to walk away from any groups that are no longer aligned with your highest path.

Spiritual Practices to Support You

Much the same as last month, we are still working with Svadhisthana (sacral chakra) as this chakra connects us to the realm of Water which is the home of creativity and joy in the body. In some schools of thought Svadhisthana is also connected to Jupiter (the planet of luck and expansion) – the planet that is so important in Cancerian astrology at this time.

Jupiter’s day is Thursday so it can be beneficial to practice on a Thursday. The New Moon in Scorpio also falls on a Thursday so call in Jupiter to help you manifest, whatever it is that you want to bring in. Long hold poses that facilitate introspection, will support you at this time.

Tarot Card: Queen of Wands – This card depicts a person who is creative, dynamic, intuitive and in control. When this card shows up it’s an indication that you have reached a place of success and stability. Keep aiming high because you have the power to manifest whatever you desire, at this time.

Leo

As the New Moon and the Full Moon both occur in fellow Fixed signs, these lunations are exerting gentle pressure on you to change certain aspects of your life. The Full Moon in Taurus (5th Nov) puts your career in the spotlight and asks you to be honest with yourself about what is no longer serving you.

The New Moon (20th Nov) in Scorpio invites you to reflect on what you would like to bring in, in order to enhance your home and family life.

Mercury retrograde in Scorpio may create minor delays and frustrations so ensure you are well-organised and have contingency plans.

With your ruler The Sun in the sign of Scorpio for most of November introspection is called for but when The Sun enters Sag (23rd Nov) you will be feeling more like your usual flamboyant self.

Spiritual Practices to Support You

For much of November you are invited to cultivate stillness – to rest, digest and assess. This is a month that is pushing you to change certain aspects of your life so use gentle breathwork to ground and support you. Extended Exhalation Breathing can be a helpful tool at this time. Long hold supported twists using plenty of props will offer you the stillness to gain important insights that will help to facilitate your personal development. The yogic Yama (ethic) Aparigraha which translates to “non-greed” or “non-attachment” can help you to shed certain outworn ways of working or living this month.

Tarot Card: Queen of Pentacles – This card is about nurturing yourself and others and about remaining calm and grounded. The Queen of Pentacles suggests that you have reached a place of stability and security or perhaps this is something you are manifesting for yourself this November.

Virgo

As your ruler Mercury is on a backwards jaunt through Sagittarius and Scorpio, your famous ability to plan may not be enough to avoid delays and diversions this November but trust that, in most cases, redirection is protection.

Both Saturn (structure and boundaries) and Neptune (imagination) are still meeting in the late degrees of  Pisces (the opposite sign to Virgo) and on New Moon in Scorpio they are involved in a celestial flow of energy between the Water signs. What this means for you, dear Virgo, is that you can call support from your local community to help build your dreams. It can also be a good time for you to plan your social media strategy but you may not want to implement it until Mercury is back in direct motion (29th Nov).

The Full Moon in Taurus (5th Nov) may coincide with the completion of a course of study. This is a great time to consider both what you want to learn over the next six months and also if there is anything you want to teach others.

Spiritual Practices to Support You

Mercury’s day is Wednesday so to help mitigate the effects of Mercury retrograde try to practice on a Wednesday. The South Node is in your sign until July 2026 so you may be on a quest to learn more about your ancestors. Work with the root chakra to help cultivate and sustain your connection to the past.

Around the time of the Full Moon (5th Nov) it can be helpful to practice Sun Salutations and The New Moon in Scorpio invites you to work with the element of Water by practicing deep hip openers.

Tarot Card: The World – This lovely card is the final card of the Major Arcana and it indicates that in some aspect of your life you have levelled up. You may have received an award, certificate or an accolade recently and you are being celebrated for your achievements.

Libra

The month starts with your ruler Venus in the last degrees of your sign and just before Venus leaves Libra there is an opposition between Venus and Chiron. What this means is that you are being invited to be courageous and to look at how formative wounds may still impact your one to one relationships. Rather than shying away from the inquiry, you might like to explore this question gently and use the answers to invite more harmony into your current relationships. The better your understanding of yourself, the more you will be able to call on partners for support.

The Full Moon in Scorpio (5th Nov) will ask you how to invite deeper intimacy into your life by shedding fears around digging deep and by tackling taboo subjects. The New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov) wants you to set intentions around finances and gives you permission to call in more wealth and abundance.

Spiritual Practices to Support You

When Venus opposes Chiron (2nd Nov) try a long hold Balasana (child’s pose) with your heart supported by a bolster. Around the Full Moon in Scorpio try attending a gong bath or opt for a yin practice focused on the Kidney Meridian. On New Moon in Scorpio (20th Nov) try Kubera Mudra (the gesture of wealth – join the tip of the index and middle fingers with the tip of the thumb while bending the other two fingers to the palm.) Visualise bringing in more wealth and abundance.

Tarot Card: The Emperor – this card comes as an acknowledgement of the hard work you have been putting in, in pursuit of your goals and ambitions. It suggests that through hardwork, courage and self-belief you have reached a place of power and success.
