Cultivating Self-Compassion: CFT + Yoga for a Kinder You
Saturday 10th May 2025 at 2.00 – 4.30pm

This workshop integrates aspects of Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and yoga therapy to help participants reduce self-critical thoughts and behaviours. CFT aims to foster self-compassion by helping individuals understand and soothe their inner critic, focusing on emotional regulation and kindness to self. Yoga therapy complements this by using mindful movement, breathwork, and meditation to create a sense of balance, calm, and self-awareness in both mind and body which enables and supports us to connect with our soothe system.

Who’s it for:
This workshop is for anyone who would like to develop ways to engage less with self-criticism and foster a healthier, kinder relationship with themselves.

What to expect (timings are approximate):

  • Exploration of how Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) approaches can help us develop our soothe system (30 minutes)
  • Asana practise integrating the CFT theme (80 minutes)
  • Compassionate Imagery Practise (15 minutes)
  • Group discussion: an opportunity for questions and to think about how we can take our learning from the session into daily life (25 minutes)
  • Please bring a notebook and pen and be ready to practise on the mat

Quieting the Mind: CBT + Yoga to Reduce Overthinking
Saturday 24th May 2025, 2.00 – 4.30pm

This workshop combines elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and yoga therapy to help participants develop attention and awareness skills that can reduce time spent with unproductive overthinking – such as unhelpful worry and rumination. The approach targets both mental and physical aspects of overthinking, equipping participants with tools to redirect focus and foster a calmer, more present mind.

Who’s it for:
This workshop is for anyone who would like to develop ways to reduce overthinking, improve their ability to focus, stay present, and reduce mental ‘clutter’.

What to expect (timings are approximate):

  • Exploration of the nature of unproductive overthinking and ways to reduce its impact (30 minutes)
  • Shifting State Practise (15 minutes)
  • Asana practice integrating the attentional awareness theme, un-scattering scattered attention! (80 minutes)
  • Group discussion: an opportunity for questions and to think about how we can take our learning from the session into daily life (25 minutes)
  • Please bring a notebook and pen and be ready to practise on the mat!

Living with Purpose: ACT + Yoga for a Meaningful Life
Saturday 31st May 2025, 2.00 – 4.30pm

This workshop integrates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and yoga therapy to help participants develop a deeper sense of purpose and work towards a more meaningful life in their day to day. By exploring and clarifying personal values, the workshop provides a holistic framework for connecting our values with actionable steps, helping participants commit to behaviours that align with their sense of purpose. Yoga therapy complements ACT by supporting us to connect with the calming aspects of ourselves which enable us to develop present-moment awareness and create space for intentional action.

Who’s it for:
This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn tools to pursue a meaningful life and align their values with daily actions.

What to expect (timings are approximate):

  • Exploration of how Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches can help us connect with our values and purpose (30 minutes)
  • Asana practise integrating the ACT theme (80 minutes)
  • Connecting Internally with our Values practise (15 minutes)
  • Group discussion: an opportunity for questions and to think about how we can take our learning from the session into daily life (25 minutes)
