LGBTQ+ friendly yoga class & social afterwards to connect with others.Fundraising for METRO Charity - supporting and providing services for LGBTQ+ communities in London for 40 years.
All event proceeds will go to this charity!Join David Steer to explore a space of self-awareness, connect to others and find joy within a supportive and inclusive community. This is an open space to practice and bring queerness into well-being.
Each session explores a unique theme relevant to LGBTQ+ experiences and includes creative sessions such as journaling, group discussions and taught workshops.
You will be guided through a simple yet purposeful Yoga practice and guided through meditation with the intent to offer self-reflection and acceptance. We aim to bring people together and foster friendships so you can expect an element of interaction with others, although you are welcome to join in as a listener.
The theme for this session is ‘Relationship’ - A space to explore how we relate to ourselves, our bodies, each other and love. In this workshop, we’ll use movement and breath to look at the intimate (the self and body) to the interpersonal (partnership and boundaries). What does it mean to be in a relationship with ourselves? With our queerness? With our bodies as they are today?

2:00pm - 4:00pm (120 min)Renee J.21 of 30 open"As the world settles into the stillness of winter, we too are invited to turn inward — to rest, reflect, and renew. Wintering Within is a gentle, embodied journey aligned with the season’s natural rhythm of hibernation and quiet restoration.
Through soft, mindful movement and deeply restorative postures, we explore Manomayokasha — the emotional body — creating space to listen beneath the noise, to feel without striving, and to meet ourselves with compassion.
This is a practice of softening the edges of doing — the drive to push, achieve, or perform — and returning to the quiet intelligence of being. We listen. We feel. We rest.
The experience concludes with a 30-minute sound immersion, a resonant cocoon for integration and deep restoration.
An invitation to pause… to root into quiet renewal… and to awaken gently into the new year."

2:00pm - 4:00pm (120 min)Michael P.25 of 30 open"Join Michael Peck for an immersive workshop designed to help you release stress, restore balance, and reset your nervous system through the powerful practices of Yin Yoga and Tension & Trauma Release Exercises (TRE®). This 2-hour session is crafted to provide deep relaxation and support the body's natural ability to discharge tension, regulate the nervous system, and improve resilience to stress.
In this workshop, we'll begin with a grounding Yin Yoga sequence, focusing on deep, passive stretches that allow you to release tightness in the connective tissues. Yin poses encourage stillness, patience, and breath awareness, promoting relaxation and preparing the body for deeper work.
Following the Yin practice, we’ll transition into TRE® – a series of gentle, guided exercises developed to safely trigger the body's natural tremoring mechanism, which helps release stored tension and trauma from the muscles and nervous system. TRE® is effective for stress reduction, relaxation, and restoring a sense of calm and ease.
This session is open to all levels, including beginners. It’s ideal for anyone seeking tools to manage stress, support emotional balance, and experience a renewed sense of well-being."

2:00pm - 4:00pm (120 min)Daryn W.28 of 35 openDiscover why mantra meditation & chanting is considered the pinnacle of yoga practice.
This experiential workshop explores the theory and practice of mantra as a foundational method in the yoga tradition of Sri T Krishnamacharya. In the classical traditions of yoga, all movement and breath practices prepare us to go deeper in meditation.
You’ll learn the key principles of sound and experience how mantra meditation refines focus, awakens subtle awareness and allows us to access deep stillness and peace. We’ll work with various sounds and foundational mantras, exploring their bhava (feeling) and energetic effects. This is a journey that takes us from being aware of the external sound, towards feeling the inner vibration and the silence that sits beyond.
They’ll be short talks intermingled with practices throughout our time together. Leave with an understanding of accessible practices to continue at home. Whether you’re a regular practitioner or a beginner you’ll learn key skills and theory to deepen your practice.

2:00pm - 4:00pm (120 min)Ingrid F.27 of 33 open"This extended practice includes the full Ashtanga Primary Series, followed by pranayama and mantra chanting. It’s an opportunity to connect more deeply with the traditional elements of the Ashtanga practice.
Some familiarity with the Ashtanga method is recommended; however, adaptations and variations will be available to suit different needs and body types.
Come as you are, with an open mind and a spirit of curiosity, creating space to explore both the physical and more subtle dimensions of the practice."

Bookings will close 2 weeks before the course starts for the forms to be reviewed.*Please note MoreYoga Tokens do not apply to courses & all sales are final - we do not offer refunds on courses once purchased due to limited number of spaces on offer*Course Overview:
Yoga Therapy for the Mind is an 8-week course developed as a complementary therapy to support those experiencing depression, anxiety, and stress related issues. The course draws on ancient yoga principles and mindfulness meditation techniques that are the foundation ofMindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) one of the fastest growing newer therapies for depression in the UK. Students meet once a week for two hours, exploring the body-mind connection through asanas, pranayama, and restorative properties of mindfulness with psychotherapeutic holding.
More recent scientific research continues to affirm that depressed mood, anxiety, and stress are best treated with a method that addresses both the physiological and psychological dimensions. Yoga naturally works with these various elements. Students are taught practises to regulate mood, rebalance the nervous system, and engage less with unhelpful thought patterns, learning how to use the mind to heal the body and the body to heal the mind - building resilience for both short- and long-term wellbeing.
In the first two weeks of the course students are taught how to regulate and understand mood through breath. Next, they learn how to understand emotional health through the body, and finally through the mind. Each session of the course offers cumulative skills which help students to both become aware of and make helpful changes in their mind body system. In a variety of asanas students learn how to coexist equally with both comfortable and uncomfortable physical sensations. By learning how to be with various sensations in the body they develop greater tolerance to be with various thoughts in a gentle way with less resistance
Students are given homework and reading material to help integrate yoga and mindfulness practice into their daily life. At the close of each session there is an optional discussion space for students to talk about their experiences during class and how to use what they learn when facing the challenges of daily living. Additionally, there is opportunity before and after sessions for brief private discussion with the therapist. All levels of yoga and meditation are welcome. Research by Veena Ugargol found participants showed significant improvement in anxiety and mild depression compared to a control group.

2:00pm - 4:00pm (120 min)Darren W.28 of 30 open
Between each pose, there’s a breath of possibility — a space where cues give way to creativity. In this workshop, we’ll explore the idea of “negative space” in two ways:
The negative space between shapes where you move from one pose to another
The negative or “floating” phase of movement when you’re momentarily suspended in airThrough guided practice, you’ll learn how to build the strength and body awareness needed to transition from up to down with lightness and control. Transitions taught include floating, jump-throughs, jumping to Crow and other arm balances and handstands into Warriors.
The workshop will include:
A breakdown of the biomechanics of floating and how to resist gravity
Drills to strengthen your shoulders, lats and core and develop deep core compression
Breath exercises to support and control your movement in air
A transition lab to teach and explore movement between poses
For those who wish to explore further, we’ll also look at more advanced arm balances (like Koundinyasana II, Tittibhasana and Astavakrasana) and handstand transitions, with partner support.
