Zinah Mangera
Instructor
Zinah Mangera-Lakew is South-East London born and based movement artist, facilitator and yoga teacher. Zinah began her journey with movement over two decades ago. She finds fulfilment and comfort within the context of creative movement practices as well as team sports. Zinah believes that practices like movement and yoga should be widely accessible for all but especially marginalised communities. She incorporates radical self-care to her teaching and believes that doing so, is a critical form of resistance to oppressive environments.
It was during her professional dance training Zinah began a regular yoga practice. In this time, she experienced significant transformation to her mental and physical well-being from maintaining a regular practice. She completed her initial 200hr YTT with More Yoga Studios in 2020.
She is passionate about teaching, whether it be yoga, natural movement or other practices of embodiment. Drawing influence from movement practices of capoeira through to somatic movement, she believes in empowering individuals to connect with their bodies, to enhance their natural facility in order to bring greater joy, ease and lightness to life. Zinah teaches Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga, Restorative, organic/animalistic movement and sometimes everything in-between.
