I’ve been teaching yoga since 2014, training in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Mandala, Yin, Embodied flow and have been generously mentored by my teachers. It is a dear and consistent presence in my life, changing form along with me figuring out life, and I’m now interested in Yoga as a way of dropping into honest relationship with ourselves. This is very much how I teach – a whole-bodied inquiry into how we feel, the small or the big things, prioritising presence and feeling over achieving a shape. We usually start movement lying on the ground, where students can close their eyes, and then go into a mellow-type flow, that is gently strong, very spacious and allows for a lot of nice nurturing release. Whether class is quieter, or a bit sweaty, I encourage people to move freely, breathe softly and be exactly themselves, in their own body.
