Stella Billerey
Instructor
Stella is a Senior Occupational therapist who works in an acute mental health setting providing trauma-informed, person-centred care within the NHS in London UK. She is dual-trained and has taught yoga, somatic movement, and meditation in the UK since 2017. She combines these practices as part of her work as a therapist. Stella is neurodivergent and queer and has herself overcome addiction; she is passionate about these healing ancient practices being available to everybody. A trauma-informed approach extends to how she approached teaching both movement and meditation, with an emphasis on psychological safety, body autonomy and the individual negotiating consent with themselves in all practices. Stella sees reverence for the Earth and natural cycles as paramount in her approach to meditative practices. Stella values visualisation, breath work and embodied anatomy with the aim of making esoterica practices embodied, attainable and tangible.
