Nikki Wilkins
Instructor
After suffering with chronic knee cap pain a a result of muscular misalignment throughout the body for over a decade, Nikki woke up one morning to find she could no longer get down the stairs without excruciating knee pain. She was prescribed Yoga through a physiotherapist. At first a purely physical rehabilitating practise, as Nikki became stronger physically, she has become immersed in the philosophy of yoga and learned the importance of breath and tapas (discipline). She went on to complete her 200 hour Yoga Alliance teaching certificate in 2015 with Stewart Gilchrist and continues to learn from him. She is extremely humbled to be able to pass on this ancient system to others. The philosophy of Yoga off the mat and the importance of daily meditation has been immensely nourishing in Nikki’s life. It is an ongoing journey, a strong body and a clearer mind are the side effect. Nikki gives thanks to all her teachers including Stewart Gilchrist, Amanda Denton, Marcus Veda, Richard Rosen, Leslie Kaminoff, Swami Satchidananda and everyone in between.
