I have been practicing yoga since 2013 when I moved to London from Bulgaria where I originally come from. Over the years my practice has become more focused and I have discovered the styles that resonated with me the most, then I decided to train as a yoga teacher. In February 2022 I had just completed my 200 hours Vinyasa training from the School of Yoga at Kindred Yoga in London, when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
Throughout my battle with cancer, yoga kept me sane and although I wasn’t able to teach at the time, through my practice I could appreciate the undeniable physical and mental benefits of yoga. Recently, I left my big corporate job to dedicate myself to teaching yoga. I am looking into ways to apply my experience and the tools as a yoga teacher to share the practice with others who have also suffered through cancer and bring positive impact to their lives. Whilst I was on treatment, I studied online and discovered yin yoga, which has so many benefits, not just physically but mentally and energetically.
After my breast surgery, I’ve been working on sequences that use the shoulder mobility recovery exercises as a base to create inclusive and accessible practice for women who have gone through the same. Recently, I have also attended workshops and I am planning to get a certification later this year that specialises in teaching yoga for cancer.
I am also very creative and musical, I enjoy singing and performing on stage and I believe that my creative side comes through my yoga teaching. I am also an adventurer and I love discovering new cultures, enriching my experiences and my approach to life.
I love teaching yoga, as it allows me to share my knowledge and passion in a playful practice, with an open heart and mind. I always encourage my students to explore the practice in their own way while building strength, stability and balance, finding their inner peace and going through their own self-discovery.
My base training is in Vinyasa 200 Hrs and I then studied additionally 60 Hrs Yin, 50 Hrs Mandala Vinyasa and specialised training for Teaching yoga for Cancer. My style is mainly Vinyasa, Mandala and Yin, Yin & Yang flows with elemental activation, breath-work and meditation. I teach variety of classes- in- person and online. I speak perfect English, my mother tongue is Bulgarian and I also speak good Russian and other slavic languages and a little Spanish, which I am working on to improve.
