In Fall of 2004, yoga found Emma – allured by the words of POWER yoga at a beachside studio with the view of the Caribbean Sea, on a flyer which landed into my hand from a breeze during a morning stroll on a holiday in Mexico. Since then Emma was hooked which provided her balance to her trading floor days in Tokyo, Sydney, and London.
However, the sessions with chiropractors and doing yoga unfortunately only gave her temporary relief to the decades long chronic pain stemming from sciatica and injuries though improved circulation, created inner space in the joints, and brought a balanced flow of energy through the whole body were felt.
That is until Emma met a particular yoga teacher. As the saying goes, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear” – Buddha, Lao Tzu and Zen proverb.
Now as a full-time yoga instructor since 2015, Emma’s teaching is based on alignment; A way in which the body is positioned in each yoga pose in order to obtain the maximum benefit from the pose, increase strength & flexibility without causing any pain, and most importantly, to avoid injury, helping people feel, look and move better.
