Inspired by the power of moving in sync to one’s breath, Elena’s sessions remain true to her Ashtanga Vinyasa and Iyengar roots. Expect a deep, dynamic session set to mood music, focusing on posture alignment whilst also building a sweat, developing suppleness and a stronger body on and off the mat.
Being a self-confessed fidget, Elena initially began to practise yoga in the hope of cultivating an inner stillness and to release tension. After almost giving up following her first ever class, something told her to stick around. In just a few months of practising she fell in love with yoga, inspired by the subtle improvements in her techniques and the mental and physical journey.
She continues to learn daily from those who inspire her creatively, mentally physically and spiritually. Elena welcomes all levels to come and mindfully explore flowing, dance-like sequences with an open heart.
This class incorporates B.K.S. Iyengar’s methodical approach to yoga poses focusing on correct body alignment. The teacher offers detailed instruction and hands on adjustment to encourage this. Challenging postures are made accessible to everybody with the help of props including blocks, straps and bolsters.
This class will encourage flexibility, good form and strength and has been known to help rehabilitate injuries.
