Aleksei started doing Bikram Yoga in 2009 and then segwayed to Jivamukti and Ashtanga Yoga in 2010. He was certified to teach Jivamukti Yoga in 2013 by Sharon Gannon and David Life.
Aleksei’s challenging “Vinyasa style” asana practice stems from and reflects his background in martial arts, gymnastics and bodyweight exercise.
Classes are based on the 5 pillars of Jivamukti Yoga: Ahimsa (cultivation of a lifestyle that is harmless and non-violent to mother Earth and its inhabitants), Dhyana (meditation), Nada (sound), Shastra (study of scripture), Bhakti (devotion).
The selection of poses change monthly to allow practitioners of all levels to try out the many different dimensions of yoga.
