UNDERSTANDING YOUR ANXIETY
A 6 week journey through Yoga, Breathwork & Coaching
to help manage your personal experience of Anxiety
Join our Head of Wellness, Liz Joy Oakley, for a 6 week deep dive into Understanding & Alleviating Anxiety. Liz is a Holistic Wellbeing Coach & Yoga Teacher specialising in Yoga for Anxiety & is committed to tackling the taboo that still exists around Mental Health. After being diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder herself, Liz left the corporate world to work in Wellness and help others learn the tools to support themselves on their mental health journey.
In this online course we will explore the relationship with your personal experience of Anxiety through reflective coaching, yoga, meditation, mindfulness and pranayama (breathing techniques). We will demystify some of the common misconceptions around Anxiety and learn techniques and coping strategies to help alleviate Anxiety by giving you the tools to support yourself.
These sessions will be conducted on Zoom in the comfort of your own personal space, you will need a notebook, pen and somewhere quiet and private for the duration of the sessions.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
In each session we will combine key elements of Yoga therapy, reflective based coaching, positive psychology, meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques) and mindfulness to help you to learn the tools and techniques available to better understand, manage and alleviate your personal experience of Anxiety.
You can join the sessions with or without your camera turned on, whatever feels most comfortable for you on the day, and there will be an opportunity to share each week in our closing circle.
There will also be optional home practices shared for you to continue your wellness journey outside of the zoom sessions.

Liz Joy Oakley is Holistic Wellbeing Coach, Yoga Teacher and Head of Wellness at MoreYoga, leading our MoreMind Programme focused on supporting our community’s wellbeing and mental health.
After starting her career in the fast-paced world of luxury fashion Liz came to Yoga after being diagnosed with Malignant Hypertension and Generalised Anxiety and left the Fashion Industry with the goal of helping others to lead healthier lives holistically. Liz spent a year volunteering at the Safe Childhoods Foundation, an NGO committed to combating crimes against children, which she describes as a time of total transformation. Here she began to understand the true benefits of Yoga as a therapeutic tool. She completed her YTT in Bali in 2014 and has been teaching around the world since.
Liz is passionate about helping people achieve healthier and happier lifestyles through Yoga, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Coaching and Meditation. Liz teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin & Restorative Yoga, specialising in teaching Yoga for Anxiety. She combines this with her work as a Holistic Wellbeing Coach & is dedicated to spreading Joy through her work.
