This August our theme is Bliss at MoreYoga and what would be more blissful that treating yourself to a Mindful Mala Making workshop? Practicing meditation with a Mala is a powerful practice as Malas are an ancient tool used to help you connect with a mantra, which is an intention of your meditation practice. Every single time you touch a bead, you repeat the mantra to yourself and internalize it. Mala making is a deeply mindful practise that can help you to connect back to your intentions and feel more present. If you’re interested in learning about the history and meaning of Malas & you would love to learn how to make your own personal Mala and also leave with a clear understanding of how to meditate with it, then this workshop is for you!
What to expect from the afternoon with Dani:
- Talk about the meaning and history of malas and the number 108
- Malas and mantras as a gateway to a mediation practice
- Choosing mantras and setting intentions
- Short explanation about gemstones, seed beads and their meaning
- Make your own mala to keep (seed beads, thread and material to make a tassel all provided)
- Group mala meditation
- Duration: 3 hours
