Children’s yoga teacher, Kelly Craig has designed a yoga programme for 5-8 year olds which helps promote key life skills while creating a safe environment for children to play and explore.
Children’s yoga can have such a positive impact on physical and mental well-being and this uniquely tailored programme will help to develop confidence, self-esteem, positive body image, body awareness, compassion and empathy. The children will become creative and imaginative through songs and movement, helping to build co-ordination, balance and self-expression.
They will discover how to deal with difficult feelings through breathing, focusing and calming techniques., becoming more resilient and less anxious. With so many distractions these days, we will encourage the children to focus on their mind- body connection through fun yoga poses, teamwork and trust games. We hope they can take these tools into their lives feeling really positive! With almost 1 in 10 primary aged children affected by mental health conditions, it’s more important than ever to join us in providing More Yoga to your children!
